How does it work?
- Open the Product Ranking Checker
- Add a product by clicking the blue 'Add Product' button
- Add different keywords by clicking the 'Add search term' button
- The first position check for your product will happen within a few minutes, after which we do this every 24 hours
Please note: It may take some time before you start seeing data in the chart. Therefore, add as many products as possible today with the relevant search terms so you start tracking your position right away.
The chart
Sponsored products
By using sponsored products, you can ensure that your products appear at the top of search results. In the chart, we clearly indicate at which data points your product was measured as 'sponsored' using the Euro sign (€).
Search volume
For each search term you add, we retrieve the current search volume from bol.com. This is the average monthly search volume over the past year.
Adding notes
Adding notes to a chart is an excellent way to record important changes, so you can see how they influence your ranking.
Examples of notes:
- On 7 March → Price changed from €17.99 to €16.99
- On 12 March → Product title optimised
- On 24 March → A new competitor has entered the market
Pausing keywords
Every day we search for your product on bol.com using all added keywords. If we cannot find your product in the first 10 pages for 5 consecutive days, we will pause this keyword.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the position different from what I see on bol.com myself?
Bol.com search results change continuously. Cookies, previous search results, and bol.com's algorithm can influence the position you see. We work with averages and have built the checker in a way that best reflects how a customer sees your products.
How often are my products checked?
Products are checked every 24 hours.
What does a position of 300+ mean?
If it shows 300+, this means we cannot find your product in the first 10 pages of bol.com.
How many keywords can I add per product?
You can currently add a maximum of 10 keywords per product.
Why is there a difference between the Netherlands and Belgium?
Bol.com allows you to switch between the Dutch and Belgian store. Since your position can differ per country, we always check your position in both stores.
