Listing Hijacker Alerts

Please note: We currently check once every 3 hours whether there is a hijacker on your product.

What should you do if someone else is selling your product?

Have you received an email from us with a 'Listing Hijacker Alert'? This means we may have spotted other sellers offering your products on bol.com.

How does it work?

If you were the sole seller of a specific EAN and new sellers appear, we immediately send you a heads-up by email.

What now?

First check whether it's accurate. Sometimes these are sellers who jump in and out quickly. Go to the product page on bol.com and check whether there are still other sellers listed.

Taking action

If you have trademark rights to the product, you can take action:

  1. Make sure your EAN is registered with GS1 and your trademark is registered with BOIP
  2. If the new seller is infringing your trademark rights, you can file a claim with bol.com
  3. Use the 'suitable for' rule if you sell accessories for a specific brand

Turning off alerts

You can easily turn them off in your dashboard under settings.
